Extracurricular Activities at Saint Mary:  Annual Art Show/  Michigan Art Ed. Association Young @Art, Regional Art Show, with possibly of State Art Shows/ Scholastic Art Awards (7th and 8th grades)/  Art and Pancakes Show in April/ Art displays at the Royal Oak Public Library,  and in the Celebration of the Arts in Royal Oak (each June)/ 5th grade Talking Artists Museum/  National Junior Honor Society Faculty Advisory Team/  Middle School Art Club/ Middle School artists are in the annual Bishop Foley Catholic H.S. Art Show.
Service Activities Outside of School:  Five year participant in the Make A Wish 50 mile bicycle ride/ Annual donor to the Catholic Service Appeal/  Creator & Owner of Sandy Beads, LLC (Named in memory of my best friend.)  I give a large percentage of my sales to the American Cancer Society./  Compassion International, currently sponsoring a third child/  Michigan Art Education Association,  Region Liaison and the annual conference planning committee./ Port Sanilac Farmer's Market, secretary/ I volunteer regularly to present workshops at the National Art Ed Association, Michigan Art Ed. Association, and Oakland Schools art conference/ Presented at the MANS conference 2015/ donate annually to the Humane Society or U of D Jesuit High School.  
Personal Statement:  I love teaching art to children!  I believe it is what I was meant to do.  Looking at children's art and their creative problem solving is refreshing.  You can see the world through their eyes.  This is a wonderful gift!  Seeing them grow and improve and surprise themselves with their talents is very rewarding.
