St. Mary Fundraising
While many other private schools are unfortunately closing or merging, St. Mary families continue to show their trust and faith in our school, year in and year out, by re-enrolling their children. However, tuition is not enough to keep our doors open. Annually, several events and programs are planned to raise funds to support specific parts of the educational experience at St. Mary School.

Auction
The Auction is hosted every April to raise funds for the shortfall between tuition and the actual cost of providing a quality education. The event is St. Mary's biggest fundraiser of the year, providing an important part of our operating budget.
The elegant evening consists of a silent and live auction as well as dinner, drinks and dancing for approximately 325 members of the St. Mary School and Church as well as the greater Royal Oak community.
On Saturday, April 26, 2008, the “Masquerade Auction" will be held at the American Polish Cultural Center – a beautiful venue that will allow the event to grow in both numbers of attendees as well as auction items.

Scrip
Scrip is gift certificates that are used just like cash. The scrip is issued by the national and local retailers where many families already shop. The school purchases the scrip at a discount and sells it to families at face value. Families can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, a portion of what they spend is earned for the school.
Scrip does not require families to spend more money than they would normally, just a little advance planning - order your scrip before you shop. The program is run on a weekly basis to make it easier for families to plan to use scrip. Orders are placed on Mondays and delivered on Fridays. Order forms are sent home monthly and are always available in the school lobby.
