How many students attend St. Mary school?

For 2017-18, we have 230 K-8 students

Average K-8 class size is 20.

We have 117 Preschool students

What are the normal school hours?

Full-time kindergarten-8th:    8:05 AM to 3:15 PM

Part-time kindergarten:          8:05 AM to 11:30 AM

Is Latchkey available for grades K-8?

Before-school care is available from 7AM to 8AM.

After-school care is available from 3:30 PM to 6:15 PM

Is St. Mary School accredited?

We are accredited through the Michigan Nonpublic School Accrediting Association (MNSAA).

How qualified are your teachers?

Over half of our teachers hold Master’s degrees in Education.  Our teachers have an average of 12 years of teaching experience.  We have a very low teacher-turnover rate.

What additional fundraising is required?

Parents may choose “service” or “non-service” tuition rates.  In selecting service-rate, parents agree to buy/sell two tickets to our annual auction and work 20 service hours per family.  All other fundraising is optional.

What is Technology like at St. Mary?

WiFi accessible throughout the entire school.  Our school website and eCaravan provide a forum for parent to parent, teacher to parent secure communication as well as safe sharing photos, videos, and comments.  i-Pads are used in every classroom.  Our Middle School program is 1:1, iPads to students.

Where do your 8th graders go for high school?

          Our 8th grade graduates go on to do well at high schools all over the Metro Detroit area.  We do not “feed” one particular high school, enabling parents to choose a high school that is the right fit for your student and family.
